Paid $749 for a watch that does not have cellular capabilities

I bought this watch in October 2022. It was supposed to have cellular capability and came with a cellular number, but it does not have the ability to connect to cellular service. I can only share with my cell phone. Very disappointing.

I refuse to carry a large smart phone, and Verizon has eliminated quality flip phones, so this is my only option. It is uncomfortable, does not function well as a watch, does not function well as a phone, does not function at all as a browser, does not function well for text. I'm not sure why the designed this thing, but it is expensive and performs poorly in all categories. I just need a phone, I don't want a phone, but I need a phone, will you please support a phone, not a mini tablet, a TELEPHONE capable of executing calls and text.

The ECG app and irregular rhythm notification require the latest versions of watchOS and iOS and are not intended for use by people under 22 years old. The ECG app is available on Apple Watch Series 4 or later (not including Apple Watch SE). The irregular rhythm notification is not designed for people who have been previously diagnosed with Afib.
Blood Oxygen app measurements are not intended for medical use, including self-diagnosis or consultation with a doctor, and are only designed for general fitness and wellness purposes.
The temperature sensing feature is not a medical device and is not intended for use in medical diagnosis, treatment, or for any other medical purpose.
The Cycle Tracking app should not be used as a form of birth control. Data from the Cycle Tracking app should not be used to diagnose a health condition.
Emergency SOS: Emergency SOS requires a cellular connection or Wi-Fi Calling with an internet connection from your Apple Watch or nearby iPhone.

Love staying updated without having the phone on me (i.e., taking the dog for walks, going to the beach, etc. when I don’t necessarily want to take the phone with me). AND, the safety features really enable me to feel comfortable- auto-accident & fall assistance, etc.

First iwatch: I’m actually quite surprised. I namely got it for a watch and to record steps, calorie's, etc. I’m enjoying it. I’ve been able to set up the watch face how I want it, I can see messages or start my pandora via the watch. I like not having to have my phone in my back pocket all the time, I can and have left it home while running errands, if someone messaged, I would see it on the watch. I have yet to see a missed call but no worries there. I’m enjoying it, I plane to get a different band for it and I have found that I can buy just the pins and possibly put it on a wide leather band to wear.

This watch has its own phone line that can be used when not in proximity of the phone? Does the watch have its own service that I can make phone calls from without being connected to wifi? Its own LTE service
