Yes, I'd recommend this product.

We purchased this tablet to keep our kids busy during travel and it fulfills the purpose. There are good padded cases for it at one large online retailer that make it pretty secure. It's good for video entertainment and book apps and browsing. Not super-fast, but a good value for the price, especially when on sale.
