So, I got 4 of these flip phones on my plan and my mom's phone's top part of the screen stopped working just after 4 months. Come to find out, the manufacturer has so little confidence in these $1k phones that they won't even back them up for even a month. So now, my 79 year old mom had to downgrade to a S9 phone and is still paying $800 on this garbage. Hopefully the other phones do better.

Cannot get the volume to increase. Can hardly hear Google Assistant even though phone indicates it is at maximum volume.

My wife and I always have the same phones, and are very happy to have the Flip 5's. We had Flip3's for about 3 years and the 5 is even better!

The phone broke after 18 months. The connection at the hinge broke after 18 months. No warranty. I was told it seemed to be a common issue with this phone. Serious design flaw. Too bad because the small size was nice

I'm enjoying the z flip 5 so far. I upgraded from the 3. In terms of day-to-day function, the only major difference I've noticed is the the full cover screen, which i love. But i do wish more apps could be run from the cover screen. You can download an app that let's you run any app from the cover screen, but I haven't done that because many of the reviews say it disrupts your phone's functionality and it's hard/impossible to revert back. So i can only run YouTube and Netflix from the cover screen, which isn't very helpful. Otherwise, the phone is great and looks wonderful. It's great being able to read full notifications without opening the phone. You can do a few other things with the phone closed as well. I got the leather case from Verizon and it's so sleek.

I had the same phone but it was a G3 and after about 4 years it died. I liked the way it fit in any pocket and how it protected the face when folded.

I do a lot of mountaineering and this has worked. Had it over in the sand dunes, got sand all in the hinge but it fixed itself in two days of use. Had it in the snow and the charging port dried out that same night. Screens still brand new and everything works fine. Charging port takes an adjustment sometimes but for 14 months is understandable. Kinda surprised ngl. Plus it's a pretty dope phone and creates talking points in social settings. iPhones wish they folded. No case too is wild ngl I was thinking it'd last a week before I warrantied it.
